After finally winning a chance to go to Worlds, CLG fan thought all the bad luck was behind them, but sadly, bad luck has again come to haunt CLG. Released on their website today, CLG announced that starting Jungler Xmithie would not be able to join them at Worlds due to visa issues. MaTTcom announced Xmithie’s replacement, and asked fans not to worry:
We will be fielding Jae-Hyun “Huhi” Choi as our starting jungler for the World Championship tournament. Huhi has trained with our team extensively for the last four months. A vast network supports Huhi in his transition to jungle. This includes Xmithie himself, our coaching staff, a Korean support staff, and several professional junglers.
That seems all well and good, but if you saw the NA Finals, Xmithie really showed up and was critical to CLG’s 3-0 sweep of TSM. Huhi on the other hand, has only been a mid back up on CLG, though in the past he has played jungle. Maybe with a bootcamp in Korea and a support staff he can get in some kind of credible condition, but up against the World’s best may prove to be too much. Check out the roster update here.
