We have just two weeks until ESL Cologne One, and until then, IEM at gamescom will have to set the standing of the best CS:GO team in the world. So for a look into the current standing, ESLGaming.com has their Senior Editor Phillip Saedler placing the teams in order. Not only is this a good way to see where teams stand, but it gives some insight into how ESL runs their tournaments, as Phillip says:
Besides allowing data to be easily shared with everyone interested, the World Ranking will also help make better seedings and drawings possible. Its first usage for one of ESL’s own tournaments will be the seeding before the group drawing of ESL One Cologne, and we will continue to use this ranking system whenever teams need to be divided in accordance with their recent performance.
So we get a sneak peak at how ESL Cologne will shape up. This top 10 is a bit different from ones we have seen before, and the top 4 have shaken up after the last few tournaments.
